Mark Brunkhorst, President

Mark began his staffing career in 1980 working as a recruiter and recruiters’ trainer in DP/MIS with two Northern New Jersey independent firms through l986. His personal production was consistently in the top 3 in billings of 35 placement makers. Then, joining a New York based national staffing company with 235 executive search offices. His focus was on the support and training of a countrywide base of franchisees in numerous specialty search areas to include IT/IS, finance healthcare, sales, marketing, engineering, technical and clerical skills. He opened over 40 new offices and trained more than 600 executive recruiters. As Vice President in l994, he assumed sales and operational responsibilities of the company’s temporary franchise division. He developed new marketing, incentive, and recognition programs, was a leading participant in TQM education and certification process, and established a PC based benchmark for new hires. Mark’s success as a guide and mentor to franchise owners and their staff and to the company owned operations group enabled the organization cohesion through an important period of growth and change. He received the company’s quality award in l995, leaving that same year to join the brunkmeyer group as President.

Mark has continued utilizing his training and assessment strengths as a frequent guest speaker and workshop trainer at both state and national staffing association conferences.

 

Jan Meyer, Founder and Vice President

Prior to opening the brunkmeyer group in l989, Jan accumulated 16 years with national temporary staffing companies in field management, and corporate supporting positions. Both as a direct developer/manager of single and multi-offices markets in Michigan, and California-- an award recognized start-up; in mature Kentucky offices brought to record highs. In Massachusetts, as the Boston market manager, she transformed staff and operations of clerical and day labor, and began a legal division. As a field liaison for 25-30 profit center regions in the Southeast, and later, in the West, she was accountable in all aspects of launching and growing temporary staffing businesses. Her experience also includes a state-of-the-art staffing division start-up in Chicago for a Fortune100 telecommunications/training company in 1983. And in l986, joining a franchise support team of a New York based search franchiser with an expanding temporary division; Jan ultimately directed the team for a two-year growth peak of 70 U.S temporary staffing locations.

Jan’s observations and opinions have been published in a number of industry publications, and she has served as an Ask the Expert facilitator for (NATSS) ASA.
